1/ Tại thanh địa chỉ, bạn gõ vào “about:config” (chú ý: bỏ dấu ngoặc kép).
2/ Chúng ta sẽ thấy ở bên dưới có rất nhiều mục, mỗi mục sẽ mang một giá trị nhất định.
- Để thay đổi giá trị của một mục, bạn bấm đúp vào nó, tại hộp thoại hiện ra, bạn gõ giá trị mới vào. Riêng với giá trị kiểu Boolean, bạn chỉ cần bấm đúp vào để sửa từ Fase thành True và ngược lại.
- Để thêm một mục mới, bạn bấm phải vào chỗ trống, chọn New > kiểu mong muốn, sau đó nhập tên tại hộp thoại hiện ra. (Chú ý: dữ liệu dạng số thì chọn Interger; dữ liệu dạng logic True/False thì chọn Boolean).
3/ Chúng ta tìm và thay đổi giá trị của các mục bên dưới (nếu chưa có thì thêm vào với kiểu tương ứng):
