today I read a paper names "Successful Businesses' Dozen Truths", it seems to be interesting but I don't understand someone help me!

1. Insanely Great & Quirky Talent

2. Disrespect for Tradition

3. Totally Passionate (to the Point of Irrationality) Belief in What We Are Here to Do

4. Utter Disbelief at the BS that Marks "Normal Industry Behavior"

5. A Maniacal Bias for Execution and Utter Contempt for Those Who Don't "Get It"

6. Speed Demons

7. Up or Out. (Meritocracy Is Thy Name. Sycophancy Is Thy Scourge)

8. Passionate Hatred of Bureaucracy

9. Willingness to Lead the Customer... and Take the Heat Associated Therewith. (Mantra: Satan Invented Focus Groups to Derail True Believers)

10. "Reward Excellent Failures. Punish Mediocre Successes"

11. Courage to Stand Alone on One's Record of Accomplishment Against All the Forces of Conventional Wisdom

12. A Crystal Clear Understanding of Story (Brand) Power

1. It is straightforward, you can see. It is believed that Doing Business is a knife with 2 blades. You expect high profit will make you suffer high risk. So, "insanely great" implies to people who have a very high ambition, willing to bear risk for a great profit. "Quirky Talent" can be understood more easily. In some circumstances, a degree can do nothing to your future whereas some people can do business very good based on their innate talent. They know the tricks as well as a little luck, they can be success.

2. Disrespect for Tradition. I think it refers to innovation in business. Yeah..., keeping the rule of thumb in such a dynamic world today is merely unsuitable

So it can be understood that if you want to be successful in business without innate talent, you must have an "insane way" to run your business? and if this truth is true so what is the importance role of 3 or more years are spent in uni?
